Charles Xavier

It was still very early in Genosha; Charles had just woken up and felt strong arms around him. The familiar scent of his lover, who was still asleep, enveloped him, and he couldn't help but press his nose into the crook of Erik's neck. It was Christmas Eve, and in addition, it was their first one to spend in their new home. Maybe they could bring those two houses together and make a door between them so they had one big house together. Such thoughts came to him while lying next to Erik. Softly, he placed some kisses against the other man's cheek and jaw. "Merry Christmas, my heart. I want to spend a little time with you today. Maybe we can get a tree and decorate it... And maybe we can combine our two houses into one. That would be my wish for this Christmas." He gave Erik a nice dream; he normally wouldn't do such a thing, but he wanted to give Erik a dream as a gift where they would both be happy spending time in a house together, filled with Christmas light...

Grief can change someone, pushing their emotions into dark corners. Charles had witnessed the loss his old friend experienced. How could he say sorry when they hadn't seen each other in ages?  Now he had found him, reaching out as he always used to do, not knowing how the other would react or feel.  "I am deeply sorry for your loss, my old friend." Because that's what he was, yet they had lost touch even though Charles had tried to keep himself in the other mutant's life. But he also knew that if he took one step on the ground Erik had been building for his new life, Erik would try to lure him back in. They had always been on different sides; where Charles still held hope, Erik was the one trying to Open Charles's eyes. But that was truly a challenge, given who he was. In the end, they were like two sides of a coin, and for that, he came and was there. Grief had pushed Erik to the point of break. Trying to live a normal life. Finally had something to live for....
